My Story

Above all, I’m a storyteller. Whether writing, illustrating or animating, my aim is always to tell the best story possible.

As a character animator and animation director for children’s television, I told stories professionally for over fifteen years. Now, when I’m not busy sharing my skills and knowledge with others, I’m drawing from my many years of experience to bring some of my own original ideas into the world.

Aside from storytelling in it’s many and varied forms, I’ve always had a love for adventure and the natural world. Climbing mountains and sleeping under the stars, riding bikes downhill on sweeping singletrack, catching a few waves or simply taking a relaxing walk through local woodland. This is how I spend my free time and find much of the inspiration which feeds into my work.

My other key source of inspiration is my family. With young children who are constantly experiencing things for the first time, you can't fail to view the world through fresh eyes and find joy and inspiration in many of the day to day things which we would otherwise take for granted.
